The Freshman 15

I recently noticed that MTV has starting pushing http://www.freshman15.com/ and informational/support/casting/buzz creating site for their upcoming reality show where college kids who have gotten fat since going off to school try to loose their new poundage. While I am generally against the premise of trying to loose the Freshman 15, there is most assuredly going to be some fun before and after eye candy in the first few episodes.

And who knows... They're still casting it. Maybe some particularly daring and exhibitionistic college age gainer will pretend to want to loose weight to get onto the show and then have MTV catalogue his expansion during filming... Ok, I know I'm fantasizing at that point but, haha c'mon guys, I bet one of you wants to. And you'd have some great before and afters to show to the casting directors of how you've gained weight recently ;) I bet a gainer could get cast on this easily.

Just don't actually loose anythin if you get cast. Then I'd feel terrible for even bringing up the idea.

Alright, enough of my fantastical ramblings. Check out the site for a couple of kinda cute real life stories of college guys packing on weight Freshman year and beyond.

Gainers in the News.. Again!

So, after that lovely NYT article about how hip it is to have a belly, Attack of the Show, a US based TV show, just did a quick segment on gainers. Although it's not the most flattering depiction of gaining, it's not entirely negative, and I'm sure will open the eyes of many budding gainers out there. Check it out below.
