Tips and Tricks
Don't eat in the first hour you're awake -this will slow your metabolism a bit because you'll trick your body into thinking food isn't readily available, and making it think it's more essential to store fat.
Eat at least 5 meals a day -work up to six. It may sound absurd, but it'll be worth it. And real meals, not just a bite her and there.
Snack whenever you can -always have food around. You want to keep yourself full, and absent minded snacking is a must for a fatboy.
Read labels -calories and carbohydrates are important.
Focus your eating on calorie dense foods, such as...
Nuts
Peanut butter (with something -an apple maybe? oreos and milk?)
Candy (Candy with nuts is great)
Friend food
Ice Cream
Cakes/cookies
Soda/Juice
Whole Milk
Grapes
Avocado
Dried fruits
When you can, add something to what you're eating -dip it in salad dressing, add mayo, or bacon, or cheese.
Go to bed full. No excuses.
Moderate alcohol consumption will retard the metabolism.
Moderate marijuana use will increase the appetite.
Gaining is like any other form of bodybuilding -it takes discipline -think of it like you would any exercise program, except trade a set of bicep curls for a "set" of 12 doughnuts, or slices of pizza, etc...
You're gonna have to push yourself -a little discomfort won't be the end of the world, but don't make yourself sick
Keep yourself in pants that fit - the number one reason gainers either stall, or get freaked out and lose is because of uncomfortable pants. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true.
And finally, be persistent. One big meal does not a fat man make -like any diet, it's gotta be a way of life thing, not just the occasional day of gorging.

Oh, and let's not forget a slow, gentle, but substantial decrease in general physical exertion. Intense cardio sessions, frequent gym visits, all that huffing and puffing--not needed! Research says that a 20-minute walk three times a week is plenty. Just enough to spark the appetite but not enough to burn extra calories. And let's not forget all the wonderful conveniences of modern life. Why take the stairs when there's an elevator? Why walk to the store for more snacks when you can drive? Feeling drowsy? Sure, take a little nap. Luxuriate in the laziness.

Very True!! I'm a beginner, less than a year and 30 lbs up, and the new 36" pants I'm wearing today feel great. It's amazing the difference in how I feel vs. trying to squeeze into my old 32's.
